THIS EVENT WAS SOLD OUT!

The evening started with supper prepared by staff and students from the catering department of South Kent College whilst listening to this astoundingly youthful and agile band. After supper the music drew people onto the dance floor.

The Hot Eight were just back from a tour of Washington DC; they are veterans of the Schools Prom at The Royal Albert hall (twice), and have performed at the Brighton Centre, Gulbenkian Theatre and the London Guildhall (five occasions). The band play mainstream bigband jazz, jazz-rock numbers and several works written especially for them.

The Steel Band from Sir Joseph Williamson's Marhematical School, Rochester played outside the Hall from 6.30-7.15pm.
