The Beresford Ensemble, well-known in the southeast and led by Bryan Gipps, returned to perform Vaughan Williams' First Quartet to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the composer's death. For Brahms' Clarinet quintet, one of the greatest of chamber works, the Ensemble was joined by Margaret Archibald, clarinetist with the London Mozart players.
