SATURDAY 5 JULY
PICNIC IN THE GARDEN
Local musician Jerry Crossley and his band The Jerry Hatricks will be playing a range of English, European and American folk music alongside talented young local musicians. Bring your own picnic and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in beautiful surroundings.
The Jerry Hatricks
Three Egertonians, old enough to know better, get together to bring you a mix of British and American popular songs. Ashley Ross (on guitar, vocals and fancy gizmos), Sue Neame (on vocals and moral guidance) and Jerry Crossley (on mandolin, guitar, banjo and everybody’s nerves), delve into the rich archive of songs from yesteryear ranging from pop ballads to folk and country rock. Since the Picnic will coincide with those across the waters celebrating their Independence, the trio will include some songs and tunes with an American tinged flavour, including some surfing songs in case of heavy rains on the day.
Also during the afternoon there will be performances by some younger singers and musicians.
Sponsored by The Arts Society Egerton.
