SATURDAY 5 JULY
PICNIC IN THE GARDEN
Local musician Jerry Crossley and his band Two Lane Hatrick will be playing a range of English, European and American folk music alongside talented young local musicians. Bring your own picnic and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in beautiful surroundings.
Two Lane Hatrick comprises a trio from the band which hosted the Picnic in the Garden in 2022. Emily Lane (vocals) is a classically trained singer, covering a broad range of music, from Pop and Soul to Blues and Jazz, with extensive experience in performing for weddings, functions and corporate events, as well as recording projects. Peter Lane (guitar, mandolin, harmonica and vocals) has been active on the live music scene since Hank Marvin first changed his guitar strings, with a background in Pop, Country Rock, Americana, and the odd original song. Jerry ‘Hatrick’ Crossley (mandolin, banjo, guitar and vocals), another serial offender on the live music scene since our Postman was still in short trousers, specialises in Folk, Celtic, Bluegrass and very odd songs (as well as socks). Since the Picnic will coincide with those across the waters celebrating American Independence on 4th July (but possibly just those in Honolulu not yet turned in), the trio will be presenting an eclectic range of songs and tunes with an American tinged flavour.
